Salt bath annealing question

why quench soon as you remove the case from the heat the process stops, a fan will cool the cases in just minutes to the touch 3 minutes tops, when I run my cases through my little device I just put them under a fan and I'm loading in less than 10 minutes, is the salt bath better I never tried it is it hard to do,

8- 9 seconds in 500ºC/ 930ºF salt solution, then immediately into the water to instantly stop heat from transferring into the head.

I have always quenched brass, post annealing, even when I used a propane torch.

Is the salt bathe a better technique than ....?
I don't know...

I use this method because it's very precise, quick, and not terribly expensive.
If there have been crystals in the case, I'm sure they came out when I brushed out the inside.

I use the salt method now and when coming out of the salt they go into a small tub of water. They lay in the water till I'm done with all the cases then they are moved to another "hot water" rinse then into my brass dryer. Never found any salt doing it that way.
