I have its twin in 22PPC - great shooting gun.
They didn't make very many of either.

I have owned 3 of these, all bought new. 1 was ok. 1 was very good. 1 was like a built gun. Not being real smart, now I have none.Good price for a very nice rifle. I sold my best one for close double the price of this one. Great groundhog rifle.

First year for the 6PPC. Had several and all were great shooters. Never had a factory rifle shoot better. Always used Lapua brass and N133. First class critter getter.

Best price I’ve seen on one of these rifles. Stock has a little figure too. I have a Sako sporter in 6PPC and it’s twin in 22 PPC, both shoot small. Somebody will end up with a nice rifle, I’m trying to resist myself……..

Own four of these, both sporter and varmint models, in 22 and 6 PPC. They are probably the accurate factory produce rifles manufactured. However, I shouldn't omit some of the Savages and Rem 40X's from years ago. Numerous one ragged hole 5 shot 100 yard groups were not uncommon. They're a wonderful piece of history!

Yes, as is the 22PPC USA; minor dimensional differences from the more generic 6PPC and 22PPC.

Some of the reloading manuals from that era should be able to show/describe the differences.

PPC USA is a no turn with Sako brass. I think it may be a 268 neck instead of 261 or 262 with Lapua turned brass

I have this exact rifle in 22PPC. While norma 22ppc brass works fine, using Lapua 220 russian brass requires the necks be turned down a couple thou. Lapua brass seems to be slightly thicker in the neck. Standard PPC dies from Redding work great.

Norma 6 ppc brass works in the Sako 6 ppc USA without turning necks also
