sako 6ppc rifle

expecting delivery of a single shot sako 6ppc, made in the 80s. I understand that the 6ppc is not currently factory produced . this is a stock sako. what specs or info should I use if I order ammunition from a custom supplier? PPC B226 is on the receiver. another question, should I just try to duplicate the original sako 6ppc load, which I think was a 70 grain bullet....thanks in advance.

Congratulations of buying an excellent rifle. I think Sako`s last 6 PPC rifle was made in 1996,at least it appears in the catalog). It could be wise to start with that factory load and see how it works. Sako used to load 6 PPC with 70 grain Sako Racehead HPBT and 25,4 grains of Vihtavuori N130,the old powder name). That factory load was used by innumerable competition shooters.
