Sako question

I have a sako AII Manlicher in 243 I was gona re-barrel it and turn it into a varmit gun. what model stock do I need for the AII? Would anyone be interested in the old manlicher stock and barrel?

Factory Manlicher stocked Sakos aren't often seen and have collector value. If yours is real nice you might come out well ahead by selling it and buying something that's what you want.

I cringed when I read this thread. Sell that sucker and go buy yourself a AII or L579 and build what you want, donor quality rifles are available for 5-600.00. I sold my AII Mannlicher for a grand, you just don't see them going for less than 9-1000.00 You'll save money and get exactly what you want.

Years ago I knew a guy who rebarrelled his gun. Spent a lot of lathe time making a heavy fat barrel into a sporter. Then cut and reshaped the stock. I saw it and cringed big time. The rifle had been a Sako L46.....Manlicher. He had no idea what he'd done,
