Sako extractor Kit

Hi All

I have a PTG Kiff Bolt. Its a short action fluted, coned with Sako Extractor .473 bolt face.
My Question is which Extractor kit from Brownells should I order that is going to fit & function correctly.

Any advice would be great.

That was a fair amount of money for a bolt with no handle soldered or tigged on, no firing pin, spring and shroud or ejector or extractor.

Thank you in advance

OK guys I just got off the phone with Greg Tannel to order a firing pin assy. and low And behold he solved my question with a few more dollars from the ole credit card. Seems Greg is one of the suppliers for Mr Kiff's bolts inthe way of Sako Extractors.

Now who tig welds bolt handle's , Dan in Alaska?)

The Tubb 2000 is the extractor you need. You can get it from Brownell's, but Dave also has them in stock. The handle is not attached so that the RIFLE BUILDER can set the timing of the handle perfectly for the action used. Remingtons are not all built the same. Matter of fact, some are quite different than others. As far as the price goes, I think its a bargain for what you get. The bolt with the handle is only $125. The addition of the flutes and the coned face are what jacked the price up on yours. They are options anyway. I will be taking possession of my 4th Kiff bolt tomorrow if the UPS man shows up, it will be the same configuration as yours. His workmanship is second to none and they are so much better than the factory bolt, that a comparison is laughable. I have sold all four of the Remmy bolts for anywhere from $150 to $210, making the Kiff bolts an easily affordable upgrade.

Some of the custom actions that are on the market are using Kiff bolts. My Stiller TAC300 uses one and I believe that Surgeon also uses them. I'm tickled pink that Dave has started making these bolts, and I'm thrilled at the variety of options that he offers.

Just think back to the time when builders had to scrounge around for used Rem. 700 bolts and that'll make one appreciate the Kiff bolt even more!

The Surgeon does not use a kiff bolt. They are made in house from a piece of steel.

Hey Russ !
If you are in No. Dakota, see if you can look up Richard Shatz,
I think he's in the Beulah area. Richard is one of the top shooters in the country and a nice guy. I'm sure he could
tell you who to go to.

Good luck,
Gary.

The good Mr Shatz uses King out in Montana.

Turns out I have a guy just north of Bismarck that tigs them. It will be done hopefully not to long from now.

I cant wait till this thing is together. I'm ready for load testing and don't Even have the rifle done yet.
