Sako 85 varmint stainless opinions

I'm looking at buying a new Sako 85 varmint stainless, .223 1-8 twist, if you have any real experience with one of these or opinions I'd like to hear about it thanks.

So not exactly what you're looking at, but close. I have had a 75 varmint for quite a few years in 223 and it is by far my favorite factory gun. The stock is incredibly comfortable and it will shoot in the .3s with the right loads

I had the 85 Varmint Laminated in 204...it was absolutely the best rifle. Balance was perfect, shot factory and reloads excellent and the action was very smooth. The laminated stock and stainless action and barrel made this too "nice" of a rifle for me to want to take out hunting...therefore regretfully I sold it...have tried and tried to buy it back from the "friend" that I sold it to but he is not being much of a "friend" about it.

Sako is all I shoot now. Go for it.

Don't have the Sako 85, but my Sako 75 Varmint in 204R works as advertised, and shoots in the .3's on a regular basis. The 85 is an updated version of the same rifle, and both being Sako's, you just can't go wrong. As Frank deHaas said in his book 'Bolt Action Rifles', "nobody ever said anything bad about a Sako".
