SAKO 75 6PPC Trigger Options?

I have just set my Sako 75 up in a carbon fibre stock for Hunter/Class now all i need to know is can i get an after market trigger that will come down under 8 ounces or do i have to work on the standard one which most say will come in just under 16 ounces if I'm lucky.
Any one help with this?
Have done a search of the site and only found where someone else asked after a Jewel and was going to contact them but never did come back with an answer.
Thank You in Advance for any help.
And HAPPY 2007

Looks like no one seems to know i see 24 people have had a look but no answers.
If anyone lives near where the Jewel Triggers are made could you ask for me please costs a fortune to ring from this side of the world also Timney or Canjar.
Otherwise will have to pull apart put in lighte springs and polish any surfaces that might help.

Aussie Bob, I had similar problems with one of my hunting rifles. I have a Beretta Model 502s 30-06 that was built for Beretta in 1987 by Sako. It's very close to a Sako 691, I never found a jewell conversion for it, but I did manage to find and finish fitting a Timney that I managed to set considerably less than a pound. I'm not sure just how light it is,,I don't have anything to measure it with) but my Winchester 75 has a 10 ounce trigger and the Timney I put on my Beretta is very close to it. Don't know if this helps but you might look at this website and ask around, some of these guy's are pretty knowledgable about Sako's.

Aussie Bob,

Jard sells a 1-lb trigger kit for the Sako:

I found this thread from 2004 Benchrest Central. Bill Truitt says,at bottom of thread) he can get the factory trigger down to one pound:

You should also talk to Mac Tilton, He can install a Barnard trigger in a Tikka. Maybe he could do that conversion for a Sako 75.

Thanks everyone it seems the only way to get under 1lb is to buy a set trigger which will come down to about 8/9 ounces i don`t like set triggers but if all else fails might have to go that way.
First my gunsmith says we will disassemble and and polish sear and anywhere else that needs it replace springs with lighter springs where necessary and see just how good we can get it.
As for Barnard Triggers i have one in my Barnard and yes you can get them down to possibly under a pound but give it a bump and it will go off so i have it set so it doesn't fire when bumped that's another trigger that will get a polish job.
