Sloughhouse Benchrest Shooters held our monthly double 3-Card IR50/50 match this last Saturday, and the 11 shooters who showed up were greeted by our usual switchy, twitchy, itchy Ione Triangle breezes. Temps were mild starting in the low 70's, climbing to the low 90's by the time we wrapped it up @ 1:00. We had a few PRS shooters come and try their hand at BR, and although they had weird looking rifles with sticks attached they gave a good accounting of themselves!
Results as follows:
Card 1 was won by Dan Lutke @ 249-18x, Brett Berger 2nd with a 248-12x, Marcus Byrne 3rd at 247-11x.
Card 2 was taken by Brett with a 249-10x, Marcus 2nd with a 248-15x, Francis Lee 3rd at 248-11x.
Card 3 was Brett again 248-15x, edging out Dan's 248-8x, Marcus 3rd at 247-17x.
The 1st 3-Card Agg results:
1st Place: Brett Berger 745-37x
2nd Place: Dan Lutke 743-33x
3rd Place: Marcus Byrne 742-43x (High X-Count Agg-1)
We quickly moved on to the next agg as the breezes were starting to pick up and get really switchy,
with the occasional reverse which looked shootable but never lasted.
Repeat after me "Do not shoot the reverse"!! LOL
As you can tell by the scores the conditions were definitely getting frisky.
Card 1 was won by me with a nice 250-16x (the only 250 of the day), followed by Brett at 249-15x, Pierre Bigras 3rd at 248-14x.
Card 2 was taken by Dan with a 247-13x-19 fm, beating Pierre on the tiebreaker also with a 247-13x-13fm, with one of the aforementioned PRS shooters Dave Gross 3rd at 245-9x.
Card 3 was again won by me with a 246-11x, just squeaking by Bretts 246-10x, and Marcus with a 246-3x.
The 2nd 3-Card Agg results:
1st Place: Greg Wilson 740-35x
2nd Place: Brett Berger 740-31x
3rd Place: Dan Lutke 739-39x (High X-Count Agg-2)
The 6-Card Grand Aggregate aka "The Money Match"
$5.00 of your entry fee goes to the following awards:
"Gold" Dollars for the card winners and a 40/30/20/10% split for the top 4 places in the 6-card Grand Agg.
