Sloughhouse Benchrest Shooters held our first IR50/50 match of the year this Saturday,
and although turnout was a little light (probably do to the threat of rain coming in) the 8 shooters
who showed up were met with better conditions then we are used to here in the Ione Triangle.
Mild breeze out of the SE switching to more of a tailwind as the morning progressed.
Luckily the rain held off until we were done so it made for a great shoot.
We shot our usual 6-card match made up of 2 3-card aggs.
Agg #1 was taken by Randy Kirkbride who broke in his new Stiller smithed 2500x by laying down his
"first 250" which he proceeded to follow up with his 2nd 250! Not one who can stand prosperity he slipped to
a 248 on card 3, shooting a nice 748 agg, just beating out 2nd place finisher Brett Berger on X count 49 to 45.
I squeaked into 3rd with a 746, edging out Ron Chisick on X count 46 to 43.
Agg #2 was more of the same, with Randy shooting his 3rd,4th,& 5th 250 for a dominating 750-47x.
Brett 2nd again with a 746-46x, Dan Lutke 3rd with a 746 44x, Bryn Borras back in action also had a 746 42x.
The 6-Card Agg aka "the Money Match" was won by Randy with a great score of 1498-96x.
I think he likes his new gun!
Brett Berger was 2nd @ 1494-91x
Yours truly finished 3rd breaking a 3 way tie @ 1489 with 81x's.
Thanks to Dan Lutke for being Match Director, and everyone who attended and helped with putting the frames away, it is appreciated!
Next match is March 16th, hope to see some more folks make it out.
Complete results attached.
