S & W Shield EZ Grips

At the time I purchased this, It seemed as though everyone wanted one. I find that the grips are abrasive and the pistol barks to the point my wife does not want to shoot it. Question is, does anyone make replacement grips for it? It has a grip safety so you can not use the heat and shrink style grips.

Maybe I should sell it and buy something else. Any suggestions?

My 45 Shield was abrasive too. I took some 200 or maybe it was 300 grit sand paper and went over them just a tad to soften them up a little. Knock the points down. Now is is a nice shooter, I load it up and or down to adjust my bark. HB

I was taught and also experienced you can decrease powder charge in pistols until odd things happen such as FF,FE
Just decrease charges by .2 g and proceed cautiously watching for holes in the target and the accuracy and recoil your looking for. think race gun shooters
My best ,40 and .45 accuracy loads aren't close to a good self defense charge
Hope you can find grips
