If I was Remington or kimber and other gun related manufactures I wouldn't support the job market in NY or the likes of California...Connecticut isn't much better, Gun friendly states would except there businesses and be much more deserving ...

Folks,
Bear in mind that the State of California is not the same as the Gun Owners in California. I lived there for 50 years and watched all this happen bit by bit. The gun owners and shooters are simply out numbered in a big way by those living in the large Metropolitan areas. I understand not wanting to submit to the Micro-stamping techno-crap
(about which the lawsuits are already files). I know one firearm related business that is moving to Arizona. I have to believe that Berger is at least considering moving out for any number of reasons starting with high taxes and ending with onerous environmental regulations regarding lead. But I have no first hand knowledge of their intentions.
I moved to Oregon and love it here but those in Portland (and a bunch of jerks from San Francisco now occupying Ashland) are making waves to start more gun control here as well.

We know they are different. How many firearms owners do not vote or vote dem? How many are ok with these laws?

There are states that 30 years ago were rural that now are urban controlled. New York, California, Maryland, Illinois, Colorado to name a few. Northern Virginia now is controlling the state of Virginia. It is not just gun issues it is liberal social issues too. America has never been so fractured since the civil war. It is indeed very sad day for the "United States of America".

I have met many gun owners that are liberal, and vote liberal... they always think, "Well, they are not after my trap gun, my target rifle, etc... " then it happens to them and their long range target rifle is now defined as an "Long range, armor piercing, sniper's weapon", and they are shocked!

All gun companies should refuse to sell any guns to California They pretty much made 22 and hand guns worthless because if the lead ban. I think all gun companies and bullet manufacturing companies and gun parts manufactures and distributors should refuse any sales in California. When the Governor realizes they can't get gun , ammunition, or gun parts. Along with the pressure from the gun owners. The law will repealed Larry

Also ban weapons to law enforcement.

+1, Super Great Idea

I grew up on Arizona, and after graduating high school I received an invitation from the USMC to experience MCRD San Diego. After 8+ years of R&R with the Marine Corps, I got out and continued to reside California. I have been here since in 1977, and I have watched this state degrade in so many ways. I don't want to restate what others have stated, but this is what I have observed.

The state is controlled by large concentrations of liberal fascists. If they do not like your activity, they ban, tax or highly regulate your property, and they make your activity illegal or regulate it to the point it is impossible to participate. They are clearly infringing upon the Second Amendment.

The California statutes and regulations pertaining to AR type rifles is impossible to understand, and I have been an attorney for the last 20 years. Thanks to the inventive people on calguns.net, they created a flow chart to determine how to comply with the law.

In combination with federal and state law, it is illegal for a California resident to purchase a firearm outside the State of California. Any firearm we desire, we have to have it shipped to an FFL in California for the purchase. Also, California now requires handgun manufacturers to regularly submit a handgun for safety testing to our state DOJ. It is my understanding that each variation of each handgun must be submitted for testing to be approved. If an manufacturer offers rubber and wood grips, it must submit a handgun with each grip for approval.

I used to spend time on the weekends visiting various gun stores. Now there are only a handful of gun stores in San Diego County. Most public lands have been closed to shooting. I continuously read about shooters being harassed by law enforcement officers, and being arrested for violations that are subsequently deemed to not be violations. If I want to go shooting, I have to drive about 90 minutes. If I am smart, I will drive an extra 90 minutes and shoot in Arizona, where I can avoid California law enforcement.

After I first got out of the Marine Corps, I worked as a law enforcement officer while finishing college and then law school. I have watched California law enforcement, slowly adopt the anti-gun attitude of the liberals in charge. There is a strong us verses them attitude with law enforcement. I attribute this to a simple example. A dog will serve whoever feeds it. Law enforcement is paid by the liberal democrats.

If a citizen uses a firearm to protect himself, he can count on undergoing harsh scrutiny by law enforcement and the District Attorney and should anticipate being prosecuted. It appears that protecting yourself, is an act of self government and self reliance which are not to be tolerated by the liberal fascists.

I applaud the gun manufacturers and the individual firearm sellers who are refusing to sell firearms to California. Unfortunately, we need to create a crisis to get attention on this problem, and a national boycott is a step to getting this problem on the docket of the United States Supreme Court.

What is left of the right wing pro gun people here in Calif appreciate your support. Dont sell any guns, parts or ammo to us? that would be great. Thanks for looking out for us behind California curtain leave no man behind unless he is in California.Kennedy supported West Berlin with an air lift but you fellow shooters are willing to shut out fellow Americans over some stupid gun laws you dont like Glad you weren't in charge during the cold war.

I believe that S&W and Ruger refuse to comply with California' demand to micro-stamp, The would gladly sell to them just not micro-stamp as required by Kali law.

People outside California don't have to do anything at all. YOU people do enough to hurt yourselves. YOU would actually benefit from all gun companies not selling to your state. It would get a bit worse before it got better. But in the end the politicians would realize they want their cops to have guns and ammo.

Mattt, from Califorkinia. You are loosing manufacturers because your laws are getting super anti 2nd amendment. We see the writing on the wall, the libtards think this is a win and bet your bottom dollar are writing up laws and legislation for our states..A win against micro stamping would be huge and manufacture boycotting of law enforcement would turn on some lights..

It almost seems to me that by not selling to California we are letting the Left win on this issue. They don't want guns or ammo sold there and now they have bullied two large manufactures from selling there. I only see this move by S&W and Ruger as helping the crazies quest.
What am I missing? It won't be long and the people left in California that want firearms and ammo will be without - one state down and only 49 to go for the anti-gunners.

In my earlier post, I said I applaud the firearm manufacturers and individuals for not selling to California. This requires some explanation. The California gun owners have been unsuccessful in stopping the antigun lobby. We have been the proverbial lobster in a pot of heated water. We are in a loosing cycle. We accept a set of restrictive laws, then as soon as acceptance sets in another set of restrictive laws are imposed, and the cycle repeats itself. We must stop this cycle. There is a well known saying that as California goes, so does the rest of the county. I believe we need to allow California experience the worst the liberal fascist have to offer to wake up the remainder of the country. We need to create a strong backlash that doesn't just stop the liberals but one that pushes them back.
