Does shipping ammo such as .22 Magnum require special shipping/hazmat?

I dont think so you can buy them off amazon and you gotta make sure it goes ground only

In addition to the ORM-D sticker you should be aware that many UPS drop-off points, including the things known as "The UPS Store" and Staples Office Supply won't accept ammunition. You'll either need to go to the UPS customer service center (which frequently has unusual hours like 4PM to 8PM), find an independent drop-off that doesn't care like my local pharmacy, or have UPS pick it up. I haven't used pickup in a few years but it was reasonably priced back then, like $4. But then along came Joe.......

Also you have to use a box big enough that the required sticker doesn't hang over the sides. Had to bring my 8x4x3 box back home and pack in a 8x8x8 so the label fits.
