Ruined feedrails

I have a remington action that has had the feed rails opened up too much. The cartridge I want to use in this action is 6x.284. Do I need to have a smith turn this into a single shot or is there a way to add metal to these rails. If I put multiple tiny MIG tacks, cooling completely in between tacks pull the action out of true?

If you plan on using the action as a repeater install H&S Precision detachable magazine/trigger guard bottom metal & shoot it.
If you plan on shooting single shot install a follower.

MIG welding the rails in "stitches" is not the correct procedure.

TIG weld-machine-heat treat.
