Ruger RPR to 6BR?

I picked up a Ruger RPR in 6.5 CM. Since I don't load or shoot 6.5, I thought about just putting on a barrel in 6BR or Dasher.
Any thing specific to the RPR that would make this problematic?

You might not be able to get it to feed. There is someone on here that’s running 6BR in an RPR, but when I asked, he said that he was running his as a single shot.

I just put a 6XC barrel on mine and so far I’m liking it.

I made a 6br for a customer and he loved it. I do not know if he feeds from the mag.

6XC would be another option. If I am going to add another cartridge to the mix, I'd rather keep it 6mm to at least keep my components consistent.

I noticed a bit different ejection with my mechanical ejector action

More of a forward bias than the bigger cases I run in that action as well.

If you already have the 6.5cm RPR and are set up for 6br, maybe load up a mags worth of dummy rounds and cycle them from your 6br mags?

I tried a 6brx in my 6XCII RPR out of a standard AI magazine and it ejected fine. Worked the bolt fast and slow. On an empty mag which is usually the worst case for ejection.

One potential problem with short cases in general is the ejector runs out of travel with the shorter case and can't keep it pinned to the action until it hits the ejection port. The case comes loose from the extractor after it clears the chamber. With conventional 2 lug guns, the case mouth has to travel to the OD of the raceway. With the RPR, that section of the action is basically all raceway because of the bolt design.

Travel can sometimes be added to the ejector, but too much and feeding problems can start.

6 XC & 6GT are the easy answer if mag feeding is a major factor, thankfully my 6 BRA feeds and ejects reliably.
I knew it could be an issue and was prepared to tinker a bit to tune it up but having a CRF action I had an advantage.

The longer cartridge improves feeding and ejection.

If you already have short AiCS mags, getting new dies for 6xc won't cost much compared to what the 6br adapters are. You'll may go through a couple barrels before the cost evens out.
Although with barrel prices and availability, I can understand the desire to have a cartridge that helps the barrel last a long time.

Tried this, 6BR rounds fed fine, but not enough resistance to seat into the extractor to test extraction.

I was only able to feed 1 round because I was using unsized 6 BRX cases w/o bullets.

The flip side is ejecting a loaded round won't give you the ejection information you're after because the case is so much longer with the bullet.

I think you have it covered, feeding and ejecting at this point. If you'd like to test the ejection yourself, maybe start with a fired 6BR case. Either wrap some scotch tape around the case just below the shoulder or maybe put a foam earplug in the chamber to provide enough resistance for empty case to clip into the extractor.
