Ruger Replacement Trigger

I recently acquired a ruger 77 mark II varmint, and, a prior owner/hack has made the factory trigger unsafe and unserviceable without replacing the sear and trigger.,put the gun on safe, pull the trigger, release the safety, trigger fires) My gunsmith said...well to put it in politically correct terminology, it's the *@!~*&^ worst trigger "job" he's ever seen.

Which aftermarket trigger would you recommend? I have read some literature on Rifle Basix triggers, and I understand that jard and others may also manufacture triggers to fit the rifle.
looking for adjustable weight of pull & durability.

I installed a Timney on my bone stock Ruger 22-250 and never looked back. I had to do some filing to make it work, but it came out great.

A friend of mine, was just asking me tonight if I knew anyplace that has the Timney triggers in stock for the Ruger 77 MKII. He said that he had checked a couple of places online that were out of stock. I checked all of the places online that I am familiar with and came up with the same result. Does anyone know of an online vendor that has the Timney in stock for the 77 MKII? It seems that Timney triggers in most varieties are in short supply. Have they shut down or something? TIA

Thanks for the info. It seems strange that none of the online merchants have these triggers in stock. I'll check with Timney to see what the reason for the apparent shortage is.
