Ruger Mini 30 & CZ 527 7.62x39 bore diameter

Can anyone verify that both the Ruger Mini 30 & CZ 527 7.62x39 have a .308 bore?

I’m gathering molds and bullets for these two and I’m not sure if I can treat them both like 30 Cal’s.

Or maybe I’m way off track?

going by memory here, and not sure i ever had this completely figured out... but mini it depends on s/n prefix (180 vs 181 maybe?) and even that isn't set in stone since part way through the change the old barrels were used up in the new build.

someone here will be able to give a definitive answer, no doubt

Both the CZ 527 & Mini 30 are new purchases/new production if that helps.

I was hoping I could get double value out of dies, molds, suppressors.

Seems so.
Cartridges of the World lists it as 0.311 bullet diameter yet lists some loads using 30 cal bullets.
Another loading book from ADI lists loads using pills from 310 to 312.

Slug the bore is the only way to know for sure.

I started this thread and this is a followup.

The Ruger Mini 30 and the CZ 527 (7.62x39) havn't been purchased yet. When they get here I can and will slug them to find out what I'm dealing with. Until they get here I'm doing the normal due diligence putting the need list together for bullets, molds etc.

So here's what I have so far:

• CZ gave me a straight up answer that their bore is .311.
  
• Ruger told me that their spec is between .310 and .3115. I'm appealing the information I got from the customer service representive and her supervisor because its impossible to have +/- specifications to that degree. I believe what they gave me was muddled up by rifles produced in before and after 1990. They doubled down that the information they have in front of them says that the spec is between .310 / .3115 on barrels produced today. From reviews I've read the Ruger bore is .3105.

I also sent an E request into Wolf Performance Ammunition to confirm the 123 grain HP and FMJ bullet diameter. I'm sure that'll come back as .311.

My 30 cal cast molds drop around .311. So if the bore of is .311 on the Ruger and CZ I'll have to do some retooling.
