The Following is a letter that I sent to Ruger with their response:
Original request:
In my shop I have a Ruger Hawkeye Predator in 6.5 Creedmoor with trigger Problems. A customer attempted to adjust the trigger, and the settings are out of adjustment. The instruction manual that came with the rifle give NO information on adjustments. Your web site states that the rifle comes with "Unique, two stage, adjustable target trigger ". On the trigger assembly there is THREE adjustment screws and without instructions people are trying to tune these without guidance. Searching the WEB there are blogs on how to adjust Freeplay, let off weight etc but most of the advice is WRONG. PLEASE put out instructions of the PROPER ADJUSTMENT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE HAWKEYE PREDATOR TRIGGER. Instructions should show a picture of all three adjustment screws as well as what every screw does and the correct procedures for SAFE adjustments. I would to have these instructions myself so if you would PLEASE advise me on this matter, I would be grateful. Guidance from RUGER is needed for SAFETY!

RESPONSE FROM RUGER:
We are sorry for the confusion. While the trigger is adjustable, we only recommend that these adjustments are done by a gunsmith to ensure safety. However, we understand your frustration and the confusion caused by our website. The trigger adjustment is comprised of three screws: the screw farthest away from the main receiver body is used to adjust trigger/sear engagement; the screw closest to the main receiver body is used to compress the spring which modifies trigger pull force; the middle screw is used to adjust trigger over-travel.
Thank you,
Ruger Customer Service
