ruger hawkeye 300 win

Anyone have any opinions of the ruger hawkeye 300win long range? Thinking of getting one

They seem pretty nice. Wouldn't hesitate in buying one whatsoever if I thought it fit my bill. Just because it isn't remington pattern doesn't mean you should rule it out.

Ruger make a fine rifle, they are tough and rugged.
I have worked on several, including my own, and they are easy to tune with a trigger swap to a Timney, Trigger Tech or other brand.
I wouldn’t hesitate to buy one.

Hmm ok sounds good! Question is 6.5 prc or 300 win mag. Might possibly be used for an upcoming elk hunt assuming I get drawn.

I've been considering the Ruger but really would like a 26" barrel plus the recoil suppressor. Which brings me to ask anyone if their experience with Remington and their HF barrels has now upgraded them back to consistent shot to shot accuracy ? I am looking at the Remington Long Range .300 Mag. , which is at a good price so I see.
