Ruger american 223

Has anyone tried one with the ar15 magazines? How did it feed from the mag?

I purchased the Ruger American Ranch 223 with the AR style mag. So far it has performed flawless but I'm only loading up to 5 rounds at a time. Haven't tried it fully loaded with 10 round. I have been searching other stock options with this style of Mag with noting avail. I use this rifle as a coyote setup with the Sight Mark Wraith scope. The stock is to low for me and I had to fabricate a cheek rest to get my eye level with the scope.

have you bought it yet??---got 2 for my kids and they wouldnt shoot well....tried 4 or 5 factory loads---just my experience

Mine didn't shoot worth a damn either. The barrels are junk on most of them. Some guys had some luck and got ones that will shoot. Of course, I wasn't one of them. By the time I got the rifle to shoot acceptable groups I could have bought a Sako. Suggest you buy something else.

I did buy one. If it doesn't shoot I won't mind too much. I mostly want if for the action and will put a new barrel on and make a different stock. I think it will be a fun high-power across the course rifle.
