I have this rifle in 243 win. I want to take the barreled action out of the target stock and put it in a hunter type stock. Is the V/T action and bottom metal the same as the standard 77MKII? I am just guessing that the differences are the heavier barrel and stock. Just want to be sure so I can buy the right inletted stock. I appreciate your help in advance.

that is good to hear. that rifle was a great PD getter, but I have shot many more deer than dogs in the last few years and now I need a good deer rifle.
