The History....
Back in my mid teens I was working on a watermelon picking crew in Florida.
One day one of the guys brought his Ruger 44 carbine to work and at lunch time we killed several watermelon with that rifle.
I told myself that one day I will own one.
45 years I found a man that had 3 and I convinced him to sell me one, that was 5 years ago.
But now I just don't have a need or want for it.
Right after I bought it I sent the trigger group to Bill Springfield out there in Colorado and he did an amazing job on it (the 44 carbine triggers suck).
I had an old box of PMC 240gr 44s which I tried through it and it shot acceptable 3/4-1" groups at 50 yards through a 2 power scope.
I tried some 180s reloads using H110 but that was so so.
Then I lost interest.
I am needing a Weatherby MKv in .257 in wood and blue to add to my collection, and that is why I'm selling the Ruger.
Ive put less than 50 ads through it, Randy died shortly after I bought it from and I don't think he shot it very much.
Im thinking probably less than a couple hundred rds.
The metal is at least 90% wood has some depressions but no scratches.
But the bead on the front site is gone, Randy told me he took a pair of pliers and snapped it off.
said he got tired of seeing it through a 2x scope.
I am wanting 1100.00 and Ill split the shipping (Im a FFL)
I can send more pictures or Videos if need be.
Comes with Weaver rings and bases.
The model year is 1979 according to the serial number.
