ruger 1022 picatinny rail

Does anyone know if someone makes a 12 inch or longer picatinny rail mount for the ruger 1022. Didn't want to make one out of blank stock if there is one being made.

Can't think of why you would need so much rail. You can buy a long picatinny rail from EABCO.com or Volquartsen and it should give you all the mounting space you need. What optics are you planning to use?

The 12" length you mention would be cantalevered way out over the barrel and might not be stiff enough to provide a solid mount. I suppose you could install an additonal mount on the barrel, but now you are talking about two mounting systems and without more detail it is hard to understand what the benefit would be.

I made one out of steel picatinny base stock for the project. Needed that much for Eotech and Gen 3 night vision monocular set up.
