Ruger #1

Looking at a Ruger #1-B in 22 Hornet. It has a 26" barrel and I would say it is about as close to 98% as it can get. Nice wood no blue loss scratches or dings. Made in 1992. Comes with 350 rounds (maybe reloads?) scope rings and a Harris bi-pod.
What should something like this be priced at or what would be a good price.
thanks

Just paid 850.00 a couple months ago for exact same model, same caliber, same barrel length. 100 rounds of loaded ammo. I think I got a good deal but that's just my opinion. :P :)

5 years ago I picked up a model 1 in 6mm Remington at a gun show for $700. It has a varmint or bull barrel on it and the wood is immaculate. My gunsmith's borescope shows that (according to the gunsmith) the barrel is in extremely good condition, no fire cracking just normal copper fouling and a bit of erosion. It also came with a Harris swivel bipod an Weaver 1" rings (no scope). I don't know what the value of the gun is but I'm pretty sure its worth more than $700.

#1's and #3's in pip squeak calibers bring more money then one is 223 or 243. I have one in .218 bee and it is a real shooter. I wouldn't let mine go for less than 1000.00 because they are not like the other calibers like 6mm rem , they are rare . The .218 bee and hornet are a real find in my book. To command top buck it better be just like new. Most sellers just set a price and don't research what they are worth and absolutely do not understand grading.

I also have a #1 in .218 Bee and it also shoots very well - I wouldn't take $1,000 for it - i'd laugh ;)

The 218Bee and 22Hornet bring hefty premiums in a No1. If you can find either in the 900 to 1000 range that's pretty good. The ammo, well considering what Hornet brass is going for when you can find it and if you trust the guy that loaded it....only you can put a number on that. Even if you take it down, check it and reload it you talking about 150-200 in components. Heck a 98% gun is almost new, having the box would help.
