Ruger #1 Rimfire Conversion

I am contemplating converting one of my Ruger 1's to 22 LR. I have looked at the options and would like to do the off set firing pin method. Rather than reinventing the wheel I was wondering if any one here has first hand experience with this. Any guidance is appreciated.

I did that when they first came out. I shortened the lift, flatten the pin, and used a hornet extractor set in
