I know how you feel..we needed two o-rings for a control valve, they were backordered at John Deere and found them on line....$2.10 for the rings and $20 something for shipping but we needed them and couldn't drive to Illinois for 20 bucks.... JohnAnyone found a replacement eyecup for the SightMark Wraith HD ?
Sightmark finally got them back in stock. Only $10.00 and their cheapest shipping is $19.00.
I called them and they offered no help or solution. This is BS
Yea, that's a bad deal and no doubt mission critical for you.I know how you feel..we needed two o-rings for a control valve, they were backordered at John Deere and found them on line....$2.10 for the rings and $20 something for shipping but we needed them and couldn't drive to Illinois for 20 bucks.... I will try that. Thank you!Did you try calling Sellmark who does their repairs (pulsar and others) and ask for a replacement.
I've gotten 2 free eye cups over the years after calling and saying they were torn due to use.
Other places are amazon, eBay under rubber eye cups.
I worked at Bushnell for a 18 months and if they decided to order spare parts when a product was produced, they didn't buy very many. And when they're gone they're gone. I worked in the call center and 75% of the callers where mad when they called and madder when I couldn't do anything for them except offer a discount on a replacement. I could not leave there fast enough.I have a pair of Leica Geovid range-finding binoculars I bought back when they first came out with them. My rubber eyecups are totally disintegrated from skin oil and sweat over the past 35 or so years. Leica doesn't stock replacements for this old set. I just recently bought new binos from Leica a while back - but this time, I'm buying an extra set of cups. Quality binoculars last a long time - but seems the manufacturers (or at least Leica) don't continue carry the only thing that is certain to wear out. Bummer.
I did get a kick out of the fellow that tried to help me at Leica. He wanted to know "why in the world would you want to buy parts for prehistoric binoculars". It then occurred to me the binoculars were probably much older than he was.I worked at Bushnell for a 18 months and if they decided to order spare parts when a product was produced, they didn't buy very many. I placed an order with them. Will let you know how it works out. Thank you. $5.00 shipping beats heck out of $19.
