Rounds needed for SWN individual shooter

Starting to get ready for my first SWN, I'm signed up for 600 and the individual Grand Agg, no team shooting. 185 rounds for record between the 600 and grand agg, I figure 6-10 sighters per string to be safe so thats another 100 rounds. Does this sound about right? 300 should give me enough to get dialed in and potentially any tuner testing once there?

My first time going myself but looks like 300 will work and will leave you with 30rds to zero and do some tuning. I’m shooting team matches and I’m planning on taking 400rds myself. The other three from up here are taking the same amount as well.

You probably should check the program. I beleive the first string of the day is unlimited sighters and after that 2 sighters and then you are in record.

Thats only for Friday Palma match. Everything else is unlimited sighters

Thats good to know, means I don't need to fire form as much brass. I'll make sure I have 300 available JIC and see what I end up loading.

I have a horror story about running out! Went with my son and granddaughter to our 1st F class match(600 yards). She convinced me to let her shoot my rifle. She had never shot prone before. I had already shot a stage before she started. The match was 2 X 20. 35 shots in she was clean with over 20 X’s. Papa was OUT OF AMMO. Had to finish with my son’s less than competitive rifle.

Western games this year I thought we were flying back on a Wednesday not Thursday. Only took enough rds for my f class rifle to shoot at a 1k not the 600yd match on Thursday. So off to Bruno’s buy 100rds of 223 ammo buy a bipod convert my service rifle to an AR tactical. Lesson learned pay attention to flight schedule and bring plenty of ammo

I got lucky in a shoot off at a club match once, wasn't able to shoot the last 3 rounds I had in my box before time ran out (just to keep the batch on same firing) and then got called to a shoot off! After 2nd shot, the other guy missed and I had won. I had 1 round left. MD let me send it afterwards so I had all fired brass.

If you can't find a team that needs a shooter, please consider serving as a scorekeeper; you will be performing a great service but will also learn a lot about team shooting. It will be time very well spent, in my experience.
