March Madness in Sacramento, CA (we're not talking Hoops!)

First a should share a few words of visdom:

1. Always wear a brimmed hat in the pits - and glasses.
Today was the second time this month I have seen someone hit by the spindle center with force.
I was the lucky one today, but a few weekends back it flew over my head, from the target on my left and hit the leg of the puller to my right.

2. Don't eat chili for dinner before the match
- don't ask why :)

The winds where pretty twitchy both yesterday and today, but Jerry T still managed to shoot a 200-11x today. Great comeback from load issues yesterday!
Over these two days, I believe we all had are share of 8's in F - and maybe some 7's too.

Much warmer today than yesterday, DA was 500 @ 62F in the shade and yesterday we had -500 with temps from 30 - 50F.

Any results from this weekend?

This was the end of this years madness - I think I shot every weekend since Feb 2nd, mostly two days, sometimes 3.
- Anyone have Varget to share? :)

The Folsom 1000 was a fun event with several far away guests, Tx, Wy, Wa and not to forget Canada.
Not sure about this weekend, but previously we had guests from Nv and probably several others that I don't know off.

- The F Open winner was from Wy and he managed to maneuver the quick wind changes just right.

Most use sighters award should go to Bud.
- In his string, he fired 10 sighters, then changed guns, moved his scope, fired 10 more sighters, changed load and fired one more round before going for record. :)

Best use of Sighters should probably go to Jerry T, who spend a fair amount of time with sighters figuring out the winds and then shot his 200-11x in the blink of an eye.

Thanks for posting, Niklas. And congratulations for yet another win in F/TR. (I hope your domination of F/TR at SacValley isn't what's keeping all the TR shooters away!)

Congrats also to Lane for the overall match win with a 791-34X and to Steve R. for his close 2nd in Open, well done Guys!

Yes, congratulations, Niklas. Fine shooting, as usual. Raton in August? [br]
Congrats, also, to Steve and Bud. I'm a little disappointed that some cowboy could ride in from Wyoming and win, but that's what the score says. ;)

Thanks! - Would be great fun to go - never been, but need to figure out the logistics of travel with all the stuff.

Could be that strong switching winds, 1000 yards and a .308 creates more stress than you would want for a a weekend ;)
- We had some sudden elevation changes that even pushed/dropped 7mm's out of the 10 ring, and I don't need to say where a .308 lands then :'(
