Round cotton cleaning patches

Just passing along something I found today. I was at the Dollar General today and they have these 100% cotton round patches I guess for cleaning your face or something anyway they are 1.00 for an 80 pack of them and they stay together pretty darn well. Just thought Id pass it on.

I use them for cleaning the larger parts of the action (bolt lug recesses, etc.). They're too big for bore cleaning (unless you're cleaning a shotgun) but for other cleaning chores they work great.

Cut them in half or quarters to fit down bore.

I go to Walmart and buy cotton flannel by the yard, then cut my own to the size I want. About $3.50 gets me a years supply of the very best patches possible it doesn't take long to make them once you've done it a few time.

The wife allows me to use her green pattern cutting board with a cutter that looks like a pizza cutter only sharper. When the garment industry went south, east and west I found a dumpster full of material. If not for the green board and cutter I would have lost interest.

Then there are small sticks/dowels. Cut the stick/dowel to length then make your own cotton tipped sticks.
