Rossi 223 Wizard

Sorry if this is not posted in the correct forum...

I have a Rossi 223 Wizard single-shot--shoots amazing!! I took it out last weekend and 1st 4rds were sweet!! After 4 rds, the firing pin would not tap the primer hard enough to make it shoot. I tried two additional rounds but, no good. Will try to attach pics of the rounds (4 rds fired, 2 rds not fired) Before I take it in to a gun-smith, thought I'd ask for any fix-it-myself advice. Thoughts? -D20230415_162849.jpg20230418_182638.jpg20230418_182803.jpg

clowdis, the spur 'thingy' (not sure what the technical term is) on the hammer, is not necessary for cocking. Nice to have--yes, but not required. The scope that came with the rifle (Leopers? never heard of), sits back rather far and directly above the hammer/cock. The 'spur' makes it easier to cock since the scope is right above. However, that's only a minor issue. See pics. Coincidentally, last year I had an issue with it not firing--turns out the spur thingy loose and was catching on the breach-release-opener button...easy fix.
