First off I have worked in retail almost all my life and know that every bad experience a customer has or mistake a company makes is an opportunity for that business to make a customer and advocate for that business or loose a customer forever just in the way they handle said opportunity…..I had reached out to Rod @Hotrod6.5 through PM on the forum as I was interested in purchasing one of his rests. Rod shared his phone number and we talked last Monday, after our conversation I placed an order for a T-Rex rest and case. To my pleasant surprise a couple of days later I received an email with tracking….fast forward to this Monday one week after placing the order I review my rest. I was really excited to get home and set it up and try it out, but upon opening the case I found everything but the joystick and the rod for course adjustment for the bridge. My joy turned to disappointment and in disgust I reached out to Rod as it was after closing time. Rod apologized and let me know who to call and ask for Tuesday morning and assured me they would make it right. Tuesday morning as I headed out for work (my time zone is 1 hour ahead of Rodzilla rests) I set an alarm to remind me to call them when they opened. Before my alarm went off, almost an hour before, Rod was calling me. He wanted to make sure I was taken care of and got some information from me. Next I missed another call from Scott due to being on a work call myself, and when I reached back out Scott let me know he had everything boxed up and was going to expedite the shipping (next day air no less). I thanked Scott and asked for tracking to be emailed to me if he didn’t mind. Later that day I received the tracking and today I received my missing parts.
Again as disappointed as I was on Monday I’m even more excited today and really appreciate the people like Rod who take ownership and make good on delivering the best they can.
