Rodzilla 5-Axis Top

I have been looking at the Rodzilla 5-Axis top with the felt side pads and sand rails for use on my SEB NEO Ratigan. I have a couple concerns, so I am looking for first hand experience both good or bad using this top. This is for BR use. Not concerned with being IBS legal so this is not a rules question. I am concerned with the function of the top and how the gun behaves. Thanks.

Free recoil, I did not have a problem but did have a few unexplained
errant shots on the horizontal. Scratched my head for awhile but it
came down to not trusting anything that is not locked down. I sold
the top, and put my own standard type of top on the T-Rex and
moved on......I was going to just get the IBS top, but not a fan of a
Farley type bag and out to the shop I went......

All about the mental game also......

Never mind the center zip ties. I've been doing a lot of experimenting
with barrel heights in my chassis builds, and will have Protektor make
a center drop bag for me or even an L-bag type. Still working on designs.
It never stops with me and I like simple......

I bought a Rodzilla T-Rex with the felt top. Then order the T3bags. Which legal in F Class but not in IBS bench rest. They worked great. I just wanted the T3 bag system.

I feel the 5 Axis is solid. The design allows it to move which is what makes it work so well. The 5 Axis moves as designed and has no slop or play. I see many SEB or other brand rests with the 5 Axis sitting on top. Lastly, this is an item that brings good money should you not like it…

Thanks for the replies. Any of you guys seeing unwanted vertical with those little bottom bags?
Not at all.. I achieved 3” of verticle just yesterday at 1000… made the same hold in the wind.. I was worried about the little bags also but actually they allow less drag.

I have to jump in here since I know Jimmy only is focused on the short game
of 100/200/300. When you refer to less drag, the largest problem is bounce
off them tiny bags giving unwanted verticle in his discipline. Rifle weights are
different comparing the two. Are you shooting from a bench, or 22lb F-class.

Thanks for the report. That is useful information.

Thank you Fuj. I should have mentioned that SR BR is my application and the yardages are as you say. I want to shoot a 10.5 lb, 13.5 lb and a 17 lb gun free recoil as I do now.

What I need to do is find one to shoot from to see if the juice is worth the squeeze.

I also shoot mostly 1k and have excellent waterline with it. Vertical isn’t an issue. I would recommend stock tape if you don’t already use it. The small bags do put more pressure on a smaller area are more prone to scratching stocks. Shooting F Class and being on the ground with dust may aggravate that too..
