rod stop?

What do you guys use on your cleaning rods to keep the jag/patch from coming all the out the barrel thus allowing the rod to drag across the crown?

I bought one of these rod/stop locking rings from Midwest but it can still slide from time to time, more of an annoyance is the locking screw used to lock down the ring to the rod runs into my comb as the rod follows the barrel rifling.
I thought the solution may be as simple as some duct tape but thought the solvents might react with the adhesive and just make for a gooey mess.

I have a related question, with regard to bore brushes. Once the brush is in the barrel, you can't back them out right? So how do you avoid the same, above) issue?

Cleaning Rod stops-
Try a Pro Shot Products-brass collet type rod stop.

That is what I've used for years on sporter rifle-pistol barrels/rods.

Thanks guys, this plastic POS I bought just isn't working. I had to resort to duct tape at the range this morning, actually working pretty good, didn't wind it up thick enough to make a "stop" just a marker. I use this until I place ANOTHER order and get a brass collet.

Just another good reason for a muzzle break, as it helps to keep the rod centered on the way out......

I use white 1/2 inch medical tape. Lasts forever, and is easy to replace. Also it won't screw up the stock finish if it drags across it.

Yep,
The more I use tape, the more I like it, cheap too.
