Rock chucker upgrade to rebel?

Is it worth it to upgrade from a rock chucker to the rebel? I think I have 1 older style rc new and 2 supreme new that I could prob sell pretty easy and upgrade to the rebel. Are the rebels as accurate as the supreme? I just saw they have better access and primer drop

I have no hands on experience but from what I can see there a nice press. I have several rc and other rcbs presses and there all good presses.

The Rebel drops the primers out the bottom of the ram, that alone is a huge improvement.

I got one a few months ago and my RC IV now sits on the floor, in the corner.
Sure, I guess it could be considered an improvement for some, But I consider it an improvement when it saves me time or gives me more precision not where the primer catch can is located. Send me your RC if you don't want it, and I'll gladly take that paperweight off your hands.

It's not about the location of the catch can. It's about freeing up space around the ram, so my fingers have more room when handling brass. I don't like the stock RC IV primer catch, it misses a lot and they end up on the floor. The aftermarket/3d printed ones are too bulky.

There's a negligible difference, they're both about 4.6"

The front part of the O, the vertical support, is further from the ram on the Rebel.

I looked hard at a Rebel, ended up with the MEC, liked the shellholder setup better, good on primer handling too. My RC is used for rough stuff now, I do the bulk of my stuff on a Co-Ax, it doesn't like my 218Bee due to the rim thickness, so, I use the MEC for it, decapping, mandrels. The MEC felt a lot smoother than the RC, but that could also be due to 40 yrs difference in use.

I'm 100% in the camp of hating that spent primers end up on the floor. I have two Square Deal presses that I modified the primer drop systems to be SS tubes that drop into small poly bottles. Did that back around 1990, and they still work perfect today. Bought the 3D printed primer catch thing for my Rockchucker about a year ago, got it off eBay after reading someone else post about them. Works amazingly well, and while I still need to vacuum off all the carbon bits after decapping/resizing, it catches all the primers and anvils and sends them down the tube quite well.

@The boogalorian Looks like the ram needs to be rotated 180º in those pictures above for the catch to work, but I love that you have the tube routed into that little catch box. Nice job!
