R.G. 'Randy' Robinett dominated the action at the recent IBS Hunter match held May 20th. at the Holmen Rod and Gun Club in Holmen, Wi.
In tricky conditions that saw only two of the 17 HBR shooters stay clean at 100yds, he pounded out a 250-19X for the 100 yd. win. At 200, the Master of the Rolling Mirage put a great 249-7X on the board to sweep the 200 yd. portion and the 100-200 Grand Agg. His 499-26X score also netted him the High X Count award, leaving precious few scraps for the rest of the of the field to fight over.

We had 17 shooters for this one day event from Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota and South Dakota. Holmen regulars Roy Oines and Craig Nagle did not shoot with us, as they Roy ran the target detail and Craig called the match. A particularly bright spot of the weekend was the match debut of young gun Stoney Nagel,Craig's youngest son). Stoney shot smooth and steady and was a pleasure to compete with. Having recently celebrated a birthday, Stoney was presented with a birthday gift of an 8 lb. jug of powder and 1000 BIB bullets by R.G. Robinett...not a bad birthday present.
I know traveling costs are higher this season, but now more than ever it's important to show our support of the matches and people that give of their time and energy to make them happen.
Good shootin'. -Al
