RL23 and 280AI load data

Hey folks, just picked up some RL23 to try in my 280AI. Since this powder is fairly new on the scene, is there anyone out there who has any general load data to share? Looking for a starting point...my 280AI is used in F-open, Norma brass, Berger 180gr VLDs. I'm getting very good accuracy with ADI 2209 (H4350) at 2815fps (around 52gr) but keen to see whether RL23 provides a similar level of accuracy but with a bit more zip.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Not a 280AI, but in my .284 Win, 53.6g with the 183g SMK shot very well and fast. 180g Hybrids needed 53.4g. I bet you would find what you needed around 54 or 54.5g in the 280AI. Work up as usual.

RL23 will give you similar performance to H4831sc. It takes a couple grains less 23 than 4831sc. I shoot it in an AI but with the 168.

Brief update, 55gr showed very good potential at 600 metres last weekend. Average velocity out of my 32" Bartlein showed 2815fps (CCI250 primers). Round count is just over 1000. No pressure signs either with primers on brass that's been fired 12 times looking very reasonable. Went up to 56gr which bumped velocity up to 2860fps and still no pressure signs.

@Willow
I know this is an older thread but how have you gone with the RL23?
I have some at the moment and planning to try some RL23 with the 175 SMKs in my .280AI. Will be testing it at the next 600M.

My old barrel liked it a lot - shot really well and consistently with it. My new barrel prefers H4350. RL23 is ok in it, but not proving as accurate compared to my old barrel although I've got the SD around 4.5fps over 10 shots. I've tested quite a few loads/primers and different seating depths and H4350 is simply proving more fuss free in my current barrel - particularly at the shorts whereas RL23 seems to be more consistent and accurate at the longs.
