RL22 in 6xc size case

Anyone try RL22 in a 6XC size case? I have a 30 inch barrel, 1/8 twist and will use 105 A-Max. I was going to try RL22 in it, to see how it works. Thanks for the help in advance!!!!!!

I have my own wildcat version of the mid size 6mm that is just like the XC only with a 40 degree shoulder. I tried RL22 and found it to be almost identical in results to H4831 and VV 560. It took about 2 to 3 grains more than 4350 to get the same velocity and accuracy never was as good as 4350. So, in the end - I use H4350. But don't let me stop you from trying RL22. It may work better in your gun and if you don't try it you'll spend the rest of your days wondering what may have been.

BTW - In my 30 inch barrel with the 107 Sierra I can get an even 3000 fps with just 38 grains of H4350.

OK, thanks. I read about your cartridge, almost the same as mine. I used a 6 Rem. improved run in short. And I will try RL22 and see what happened!!

Be careful with the AMAXs, my son had a bunch come apart on him shooting them out of his 6-250 in the heat of the summer. He had a 1-8 twist Pac Nor super match in 3 grove.

You might want to try VV N165 in the case. I use 43.+ gr in my 6XC with the 115 in Tubb's 2G brass and a Russian primer. Danzac coated bullets. Best start a tad under in your brass and work up. I'm running about 2980+ f/s in my Lilja 30" tube. A Hammer @ 1K. YMMV
