RL17 temp sensitivity

Curious if anyone knows how temp sensitive this stuff is. I have a 300 WSM that I am reloading for. Using 66.7 gr and 180 Accubonds at right about 3075 fps. This is 0.8 gr below the load I had extractor marks on with a 35°F day. Just curious if shooting this load on an 80°F day will give any issues.
Gun is a new Model 70 stealth.

I've been reloading my 30/06 Rem 700 with RL17, and bullets from 168 to 190 gr. At 80 deg. F. in the Midwest, it doesn't seem to be temp sensitive. Dropping back almost a full grain of powder you should be ok. But then again every rifle is different, and there are many factors involved such as the brass case, rifle chamber, throat, etc. etc.

Best thing to do would be to back off your loads another grain of powder, work up incrementally, and test them on a warm day. I like to work up my loads in 0.3 grain increments. starting low of course.

Both RE15 and RE17 are among the most stable of powders across a wide temp spectrum. We regularly shoot from insde a shootshed at 25degrees in the winted to 95+ in the summer with both powders in .308 (RE15) and RE17 (7.5 Swiss)

Just a datapoint...

My most accurate .260 load is 42.7gr of RL17 driving a 139gr Scenar.

Earlier this year I developed that load on a cool day (50s), and chrono'ed it at 2840fps or so. Later, at 300 yards, temperatures usualy in the 60s and low 70s, using the data predicted by Ballistic FTE on my phone, it was either spot on or I needed one more 0.1 mil click of elevation. Both times the shooting line was covered. No pressure signs, maybe slight slight primer cratering when the temperatures were in the 70s.

This past weekend I shot that load at 600yd out in the open (600yd range is not covered), in the 80's with the bright afternoon sun heating everything up. Everything warm to the touch. I needed four FEWER 0.1 mil clicks than predicted, which tells me that it was going much faster than 2840fps. Plus the primers were slightly cratered.

I don't know yet.. but will find out this year! My RL17 load is 51.8grs in a .284 Winchester with Berger 180's.. V= 2930 fps.

I am using RE17 in my 284 with 175 Match Kings, at 80 degrees the chrono was picking up 3000 fps, at 60 it was right at 2950 so there is some difference there. The key is to shoot your loads over a chrono and see how different temps effect your loads.

Believe me.. I will be watching it this year.. I want to keep the rifle safe and in that node that it is shooting at.. hopefully I will learn this year.. by watch the air temp.. that I will know how to load it for matches.. the problem.. is of course.. develop the load here in the south.. then take it to Perry in August when at times.. you needed a coat! LOL
