Hope some members can share experience with it in a standard 260 with 120- 140 class bullets and a 6.5 PRC with any weight between 100-140I hope this is my luck day since I just found a 5# jug that has been hidden away.

I’m new to this forum, but I do use R17 in my 260. The bullets used are 120 gr Nosler BTs. The load I settled on is extremely accurate, but so is the rifle, the weak link being me. Off the top of my head, I can’t remember the powder charge. It wasn’t a max load, but it was warmish. I can look it up tomorrow if it matters. As for temp sensitivity, the first pound I bought didn’t mention anything about being temp insensitive, but the next pound did, though the exact wording escapes me, I’ve not noticed any temp sensitivity over the years, but I worked up the loads in warm weather and hunt in cold weather.Looks like not a lot of people are using RL 17. Since I now have 5# I'm going to experiment a little. If H4350 was available I would not even think about it.

The case capacity is about the same as a Creedmoor, I use 40 grs with a 127 LRX for hunting. CCI 200. I don't load for a PRC but I do for a 6.5 Gap/Saum. Case capacity is more on the Gap by about 5 grains. I'm at 56 gr of 17 x 127 LRX. I would think 50 grs will be good with a 130 gr bullet. 56 grs is a bit over 3300 in the Gap to give you an idea.
Good info yo have. I assume you are getting good accuracyThe case capacity is about the same as a Creedmoor, I use 40 grs with a 127 LRX for hunting. CCI 200. Others have told me the same thing. They caution being careful with top loads and temperature.Using R-17 with my H-4350 load and 123SMKs in a 260Rem I saw no difference in elevation or accuracy at 600yds. Various lots of all powders vary, perhaps a I was just lucky.
Very good accuracy. I really haven't had an issue getting any round to shoot well with RL-17. Hunting loads I tend to push pretty fast with it. Any load you can use 4350 in, you can use RL-17. I've loaded from Creedmoors to 300 Mags with it.Good info yo have. I assume you are getting good accuracy
