Here’s the link. It tickles me that Midway is promoting giving the last years 2025 Hodgdon annual if you buy $50 worth of reloading products instead of the new current 2026 manual. Bait to get sales instead of having to go to the trash. lol!

Yes, if you only need one pound it gets crazy. If you buy a few pounds or add primers it levels out at least some. That $61.83 is the current lowest cost on AmmoSeek.

Of course, if you don't use it and other powders work better for you. We all go to extreme lengths to achieve our goals.

Wish powder prices would drop like the primers have.
RL16 is generally a good replacement for H4350
It does as well and sometimes better than H4350

It does better for me, accuracy and velocity. But it takes a few more patches to clean.

I bought R-16 years ago to replace H-4350 when it was missing from the shelves.
it is dirtier, and figured it was all the copper fouling crap they added. Enduron 4451
came on line and it shot better and cleaner. Then that powder went away ?? Either
way, i have 3 pounds of R-16 left of an 8 pounder I purchased from Wideners for
$189 bucks. Those were the days......

I'm glad I still have some 4451 left. It still shoots better with some combinations than any other powder I have tried.

Seems a little deceitful to the customers though probably thinking their getting the new manual.

I imagine most of the front is different year to year. And probably 98-99% of the back (recipes) is identical year to year. If they are calling it the new Hodgdon manual then yes, a little deceptive. If they are saying we're including this it isn't in any way deceptive, just a bonus. And useful for many. And as said, good business on their part. I suspect many others do the same.

Not really. 99% of it is a repeat year to year. As a consumer a little common sense goes a long ways.
