Are you talking about 6BR here?I ran 33.5 with a 103 at 99 degrees without issues, you need to go back and recheck everything....... Jim
HJ is approx 1025 AGL at Benches, ~ 1400 AGL at boards
What would I check? I've done load work ups several times on them already.
Respectfully I've never been able to get close to 33.5 of any type of power in a dasher without issue. My 4th Dasher uses 32.1 of Varget and much higher starts to get sticky bolt (made by another smith).
What is your freebore. I run a .155 and can easily run 34 grains of Varget or 33.5 of RE 15. No pressure at all. No loosening of primer pockets. The 33.5 grains of RE15 is so easy on the brass I can put them back in with the fire control removed and the bolt falls shut. MattI LOVE the accuracy of RL15 in the BR and Dasher, but I wish I had understood it's stability better. I had three Dashers built over the winter and did load work ups this spring. Im now getting ejector marks, even after reducing the loads as far down as 31.8 grains. POI seems to shift from day to day and groups seem to be opening up.
Temps are around 86 degrees and 80% humidity.
If I'm doing something wrong please let me know!
Shooting from a helicopter? That is so COOL! But gotta be expensive as.....
Back to the subject at hand, I have RL-15 and 17. Might have to give them a try when this Texas heat turns to Fall weather.

Your Dasher Varget loads are low also. Your problem could be lots of different things. Your Varget could be a slow lot, your RE 15 could be a hot lot. Your barrel could be slow. Your chrono could be wrong. Your die doesn't match your Reamer. Your freebore is too short. Your bullets are too fat. It could even be the ejector or spring. These are just some of the things that could be wrong. MattThe thing is I haven't had any issues with the Dasher that uses Varget or the 6.5x47 that's using H4350.

I also run a .135 free bore, and stay around 33 gr varget, and have no pressure signs, that's here in the south on a 95 degree day. Might also want to check shoulder bump, make sure your not pushing them back too much. What would I check? I've done load work ups several times on them already.

Haha, correction ASL.
Nice catch!
...and I'm a pilot LOL
check out HeliBacon for the Chopper Shoots.
Move into your Mom's basement. Your MV will go up and your group size will go down. You'll be more sexy too.Different lots of powder definitely have a big influence, but my barrels never seem to go as fast as everyone else's either.

To get the bullet out farther. I don't jump bullets. I seat in the lands. The extra freebore relieves pressure. Kind of like Weatherby did. MattMatt do you use the extra freebore for more jump or to seat the bullet out further? Stephen
