Ritch Johnson Barrels

Just was wondering if anyone has tried Ritch Johnson barrels? Going to get a 20 practical AR barrel 24 inch in length soon and just looking at different options.
Thanks Brad

I have bought 6 barrels or so from Ritch over the years. I have had him make me 20P , 223, 6x45 and 6x6.8 barrels all P3 grooved and from 20" to 24" depending on my builds, heavy sporters at .690" and they have all shot sub moas and still do when Im not trying to shoot in 30 mph winds out here. He was making Black hole barrels a time back, then went his own way. GL shooter use's all of his barrels/builds iir.
Ive never had copper problems with the P3 grooved barrels.
He will gladly talk to you on your requirements when you get him on the phone.

I've got a couple and have use several on other rifles for friends and can't say enough good things about Ritch! I've had some rather long conversations about barrels and calibers and all have shot much better than expected. I am a huge fan of customer service and have never been let down and a plus his barrels are awesome so if your on the fence I'd say just take the step as I doubt you would be disappointed at all.

So does anyone know who’s barrels he’s using? He said he stopped using Blackhole 3 years ago. I’m looking for a good quality 243lbc barrel for an Ar15.
All he said to me was that they are made from the same steel as Krieger and Lilja from a company out of Oregon.

I think he is using barrels from Tactical Ordinance now. I've bought a few from Ritch before he changed. He is great to talk to and will stand behind his work.

After some searching I came up with the same thing. I don’t know much about tactical ordinance.

X-caliber was another one of my options. They make a 243lbc.
Which would be better?

I have a 20 practical that's a heck of a shooter. I just got my 2nd barrel through him and haven't had it out yet so I can't say. My 1st one I was new to wildcats and had a ton of questions and he answered every one of them so his customer service is definitely awesome
