RIP gtl1946

Gasper was a friend of mine. He was a widower that lived with his cat. He was a teacher before he retired and loved the shooting sport along with being an enthused Horticulture fanatic. Most mornings he was ordering flower bulbs on line for his flower gardens. He would then jump on Accurate Shooter and spend the rest of his day there.

Unfortunately, he was trying to change a battery out on the smoke alarm and fell and hit his head. A few days later, he drove himself to the hospital and had to have brain surgery to relieve the pressure in which he was a brain cancer survivor previously. He survived a month before we lost him a week ago. I will miss my friend that helped me through my dad passing this past year.
RIP my friend.

He was a super nice guy. We had several talks about politics. We didn't agree but we could cordially disagree. That's a special trait in itself these days and it speaks volumes about the person. Very sorry to hear of his passing. You just never know. Any minute, we could all be taking our last breath. Gasper will be missed. Thanks for posting this!

Thanks for filling in the details.

I’m just seeing this, was traveling when the original post was made. Me and Gasper talked every other month or so and I hadn’t heard from him in the last 4 months or so, I searched his name here on the forum just now and found this. Truly sad news. Always enjoyed him, he would talk long periods on the phone, loved beautiful wood stocks and had impressive knowledge about Randal knives. He was a solid member of the forum and a good person.

I’ll miss him and know he is in a better place free of his physical ailments, RIP Gasper!
