Rings and bases for Kelbly's Panda

The base on a Panda is integral to the action. That said, Kelblys makes a dovetail to picatinny conversion.

As for rings, anything that works on a dovetail should work on your Panda, Harrels rings come to mind.

If you get the picatinny adapter then you would have a wider set of options for rings.

Do the JJ Loh rings mar or make rings marks?
Not if properly prepped and installed. Also, unless the scope tube is dented or scratched by improper installation, most so called ring marks can be easily removed by wiping with car wax.

Everything John Loh produces is quality. The rings are no different.

You are correct sir, I got those ring marks off with a little polish, but they looked awful and I want to get a set up so I can use rings with the inserts, like the Z rings, so now I know I have to get the picatinny rail or can I get a base that I can use the turn in rings, I have a set of those.

I believe your only choices for a Panda are the dovetail rings or get the dovetail to picatinny adapter from Kelbly and use picatinny rings.

Thanks everyone for the help, I got it now, I know what I have to do and what my choices are. One question, if I go to the Kelblys dovetail/rail conversion and I want to use Burris signature Z rings, shouldn't the high rings be high enough? I like a scope a little high of the barrel, thanks. If I go to the John Loh dovetail rings, what height should I get mounting a Nightforce 12x 42 scope.

For the Loh rings, contact Benchrite and ask them about the height. For the picatinny rail, Alan Warner made this one for me:image5 copy.JPG

I would (and have) use the ring height of 1.25''
