Ring/Base Opinions Please

I'm waiting for my savage pta 6br to get finished from the gunsmith. I have a 30mm Leupold LRT 50mm objective scope and am undecided as to what rings and bases to use. I was looking at the benchsource base and burris signature z rings or kelby base and rings in the davidson style. What do you guys think? Thanks.

my oppinion would be zee rings and the base to fit/ ive had kelby rings theyre good but unless you lap them right /they have always left ring marks on my scopes also the burris rings are cheaper regards shooter63

Always had excellent luck with the Signature Zee rings. Also hear great things about Talley rings since the ring and base is made together. I just ordered a couple sets of Talley's to try but they wont be here for another day or two.

I have all of those mentioned. Unless you have some overiding reason to use Kelbly-Davidson style bases and rings, use the Burris Signature Zee Rings. They make life too easy.

i've always run pic. rails from EGW and seekins rings....never had an issue. for one of my current builds, though, i'm switching to Burris Signature Zee's. I still have an EGW HD 0moa rail on the action, but I think I'm going to go back to regular 2 piece weaver bases....don't see a use in the heavier rail as opposed to the weaver bases.

I could not find the benchsource base in stock. I went with the Talley20 MOA base and Burris rings. They are supposed to be here tommorow. Will post pics when I get them mounted up this weekend.

The Talley base is nice. Plus it is cheaper than the Benchsource. The holes lined up perfectly. The Burris rings were a tad tight but got them on. I went with the extra high and looks like the plain "high" ones with the Talley 20 MOA bases would have been perfect. I will post a pic tomorrow. Waiting on the bedding compound to cure right now.

I have Talley on my 10-22. For me, good as there is.
Pull up "Talley" you'll be surprised what they all make.
Gov. contracts as well.

I have Talley rings and bases on my Cooper's and they are indeed a fine product. For all my other rifles I use Burris Signature Zee's, I like the inserts and the ability to adjust the rings by using the offset inserts. My Savage 6br has Burris rings and I couldn't be happier.
