Rimfire Smith’s

I not Ready right now
I have been thinking about a 22lr Benchrest Rifle Build. May start putting it together this coming year.
I don’t know any good Rimfire BR smith’s?
Centerfire I know a few I have used but never built a RF BR Rifle before.
Is there a list of winning RF BR smith’s?

One of the best in the country, in my opinion, is Mr Gene Davis. He builds quality, proven rifles. He is a part of this forum.

You can go to the ARA site where they post results and the National Tournament will have an equipment list that includes the smith. It was just held this past weekend, always labor Day weekend if you want to go to past years. Or buy a good used rifle by one of them and shoot now instead of a year from now.

Some good used rifles by gunsmiths who are no longer with us would be Butch Hongisto, Bill Myers, Roger Brock, Chet Amick all built killer guns and if they were properly cleaned and cared for would still be winning matches far into the future.
