rimfire scope suggestions, please.

for sure. I shoot open class with a stock 455, with a custom trigger spring. I'm lucky, my rifle likes Eley target. I don't have to buy 10x or midas plus to be competitve. We shoot in windy conditions most of the time, so a good scope is a must.

From the amount of positive feedback I've heard online, it seems the Athlon Midas TAC 6-24x50 is considered a top pick in the price range by a good number of shooters. I had to try one, and will say that they're a very large improvement over the early Midas sfp scopes I bought from Athlon several years ago. I had very good results with tracking & return to zero (box test) with the first one I tried, so bought several more for both 22RFs & custom barreled Howa Mini rifles. I've got Athlon Cronus scopes on a 40XB repeater & both the V-22s I shoot in PRS-style 22RF matches, and have been very pleased with all three of those scopes. The Midas TAC isn't quite as good optically as the Cronus, but I've yet to have one fail to track or have any other issue.

The Element Helix meets all of your requirments, except it's $1499, otherwise, I like Sightron SIII 10-50. You get your choice of reticles.
