Made a few changes to the 457 VPT recently. As it sits now. Lilja 16.5" barrel, Athlon Argos 10-40 X 56 scope with Area 419 rail, and Timney trigger. This was my first outing in several months and the new barrel was impressive.

And this is the second time I shoot this new barrel at 100yd with a new lot of R50 and the best lot of Center X from shooting 50yd...


0.809 - 0.223 = 0.586"

Absolutely love it...love it so much I have 6 XLR Envy chassis including the Envy Pro JC Heavy Competition....

I've owned and tested most of them.. MDT multiple different styles of theirs including ACC,, MPA, etc.

The XLR just feels natural to me. Fits me perfectly. I have them all setup the same...all have Zermatt TL3 actions (except the RimX) and BnA triggers...weights, weights rear stock tube.. absolutely love them. Not a single complete.

It's the JP Enterprises ARCA/PIC plastic bag rider that I have recently replaced with the beautifully machined LJW Precision bag rider that is so much nicer. I literally sold the JP 2 days ago.

Just bought this weeks ago and finally getting to shoot. Only shot 1 box of federal 40g solids as I was shooting off my parents deck for this group. Lol. Waiting to get to a good bench at the range. Since this group I checked trigger pull weight at 1.5lbs with a lot of creep and overtravel. Not to my liking I watched a YouTube video on 457 trigger adjustment and took to getting mine dialed in. Now a true 8oz with little to no creep or overtravel. Gotta get it back out soon.

That looks to be a modified Harrell which they call a wasp. the late James Pappas did them as well as Harrell. brimgs the weight down to about 6-6-1/2 oz.
