Keep those 1885s coming~! They are simply beautiful. "One shot, one kill~!"Updated my Winder Lowall with a Benchmark stainless barrel full octagon. Had the barrel Cerakoted for a more traditional look. Shown with a DZ Arms 8x scope.
In my world, that's what I call a rifle~! Is that a Malcolm scope riding on top~?A little more old school. Stevens 44 1/2.
Barrel was recrowned at some point, scope is 3X and probably as old as the rifle, maybe more.

Wet my pants when I saw this. How's it shoot~?This is an 1885 Winchester made in 1919 that I customized for prairie dog shooting. It has a Shillen octagon barrel in 22 Mag. Gunsmith - Mark Stratton, Engraver - DArrel B. Nelson, exhibition walnut wood - Ballard Rifle and Cartridge Company
I can see lots of $$ in that beautiful Model 97~!View attachment 1107573 View attachment 1107572 Another Marlin that’s been re-barreled to 17 hr2
Well it shoots fair considering the crappy Aguilla ammo & a cheap scope. Changed both & we'll see what happens today.Picked this up yesterday. 10/22 heavy barrel target model. Needed something inexpensive to shoot. Who knows may even try a match or two if it's a good shooter. I'll find out today!
