RIMFIRE AMMO

I bought a brick of CCI target at Trop's in sc Pa. last weekend, 39.95 + tax. They also had the Federal 525 value packs for less. 1 brick limit. Two other shops in my local area have the Federal stuff also, again 1 brick limit.

I suggest that we all remember who the gougers and speculators are in future. For example Able Ammo in my experience.

Funny you should mention Able Ammo. I ordered the bulk of my supply of Fiocchi Extrema .223 ammo with the 40 gr Hornady V-Max bullets from them a year or two ago. Paid anywhere from $16.49 to $18.99 per box of 50. They now have the same ammo listed at $59.95 per box! Very happy I stocked up when I did. I will continue to do the same going forward. IF I find a good deal on ammo I can use, I will buy as much as I can afford. If I can't find any "deals", I will simply wait until I do. Patience usually pays off, but once you find a deal, you better grab it quick, as they don't last long these days.

A friend here in SLC bought two bricks of Remington .22LR for $25 per brick this week, from a local ranch supply store which also has a gun department (if only they sold whiskey and cigars, it could be a mancave!). The store had 50 cases delivered Monday and had sold it all (one brick per person) by Wednesday.

Cabelas seems to stock overnight,so check gunbot.net between 8 & 9 AM eastern you will have the best luck.I check gunbot 3 times a day, that's how I got my Varget and CCI450s. Tom

Ya no 22s to be had around here in nor cal. I saw a guy at the flea market selling the 500/525 packs for $40-50 and a few were buying. I went to the store to get some cci quiets and i didnt know ammo was being hoarded again for the last 5 months :o.

Was in a local mom & pop shop yesterday with a friend & he got the last 525 bulk box of Federals, 39.95. They've been getting shipments all along, just not as much as normal.
If anyone's looking for Eley Club orange box, there's a sale posted on Saubier.com and the price is decent.

I've got 2 bricks of Eley coming from Dan Killough in Winters, Texas for $32.50 a brick. Dan also sells the junk ammo also. If it is not in stock, get on his list and he will ship when it hits. He and his wife are great to deal with.

I have got some Eley Black box and Eley club, "orange box" at sportsmans guide. I also caught Cabelas on line for some Rem golden before they sold out. Not my first choice, but for my son shooting spinners, not all bad.

Remember when the Smith brothers tried to corner the silver market. They lost control and the market crashed. That was similar to what's going on at the moment. A few thousand slugs and some others without principal, that don't have to go to work everyday are buying all the ammo for resale at a 200% markup. Juist don't buy it and they will panic and sell. These are not soffisticated business people, there just playing the walmart game trying to corner the market. Ignore them and the market will crash.

I believe it was the Hunts.

Cheaper than Dirt was selling CCI mini mags for 60 cents apiece yesterday. They will never see any of my cash again.

Much of the problem with getting ammo is that many of these self righteous groups that litter the countryside want to stock pile as much ammo as possible. It's paranoid groups and the paranoid individual that created this shortage. And they could care less whether or not you have ammo for the type of honest sports shooting you enjoy doing. Talk about a boil on the butt of society. I expect if the day ever did come when the shit hits the fan, these paranoid bastards would be the first to cower away and hide like the slithering snakes they are. Ammo will come back. We just have to ride out the idiots.

Here is a perfect example of a moron. This guy works with a friend of mine. Conversation went like this moron says "I picked up two bricks of .22 at Bass Pro yesterday". My friend asked "I didn't think you even owned a .22". Moron replied " I don't. I just wanted to get some".

Got a Natchez sale flyer in the mail a few days ago--Wolf Extra on Sale--great! Went on their website--out of stock, just like last week! Jerks!
The way to do Natchez is to log them on your favorites and check their site ever buisness day you can. three to four times a day and sooner or latter you will catch them with some good 6 cent a round ammo. The catch is the limit. But i always have something in mind to by so i dont get burned on shipping. Good luck

The easiest way for me is to place an order with Killough Shooting Sports. If they are not in stock, they will ship to you when they receive it. I don't have to play games.
