Right Hand shooter needs to be able to use Left Eye

I had the same problem, lost the sight in my right eye. started shooting trap left handed and after I froze my ass off all winter, I would pick a gun up left handed. then I sold all my right handed guns and built left handed ones and at 77 I can still shoot..... jim

I think you need to be aware that it throws the gun out of balance and they don't shoot right. I know a great 1000 yd. shooters that tried to use one, and even used a counter balance to try to make it work..... jim

What the OP and I both need is a way to attach a camera (phone?) to you scope and then transmit the video live to your iPad or something. I don't have an eye problem, I have a neck problem. I can lie prone and shoulder my rifle but it is very painful for me to look thru a scope in that position. I could, however, look down at a screen on the ground below me and pull the trigger when it looked right.

Anyone know of something?

There is a guy on Youtube who shoots airgun pigeons and starlings. Check out his cam system. He uses it attached to scope.

I have a stock pattern that is "dog-legged" to put scope in front of left eye. Built one for a lady that worked for her.
Maybe we can find some one to carve you one. It is a hunting stock that can be inletted for most actions.

You are never too old to change!

Here is a 30 year old story: I talked our plant manager (then 50 years old) into sponsoring a couple of Skeet league teams. Naturally I asked him to be on my team. Half way through the league I noticed he was shooting inconsistently. He was a left handed shooter. When I talked to him he told me that he was right eye dominant but felt more comfortable shooting left handed. Knowing he wrote with his right hand I asked him how he came to shoot left handed. He told me he watched TV westerns as a kid and tried to mimic how the actors shot with his toy rifle which he did like he was looking in a mirror so he put the gun on his left shoulder. He was closing his right eye when he shot and was barely a 20/25 shooter. After much talking I convinced him to try shooting right handed. By the end of the league he was able to consistently shoot 24 or 25 out of 25.

My son (in his 40's) struggled shooting Skeet right handed and finally decided his left eye way really his dominant eye. He switched to left handed, including loading the gun, and his scores jumped. I first suggested that he load the gun right handed and transfer it to his other hand to shoot. He did not like that idea and just taught himself to handle the gun (an auto) left handed.

I lost my sight in my right eye and started to try left handed. Shot the winter trap league by the time it was over I was even picking a gun up left handed. Sold the right hand stuff and it carried over to a rifle .... life is good..... jim
